The Vampire Diaries Description.

The Vampire Diaries is a Supernatural Drama/Horror television Series.  It first aired on September 10th 2009 on CW Television Network in America.  It is based on the book series of the same name by L.J. Smith.  It is set in Mystic Falls, Virginia.  It is a show following the life of 'human' Elena Gilbert and two vampires named Stefan and Damon (who are brothers).

Amazon Synopsis [First Season]:
It's Elena's first day back at Mystic Falls High School since the tragic death of her parents. Along with her Aunt Jenna, Elena tries her best to look after her troubled younger brother, Jeremy, and salvage what family they have left. The first day is already shaping up to be a struggle for Elena until she meets the mysterious new kid at school, Stefan. Elena is touched that he can relate to what she's going through. What Elena doesn't know is that Stefan is a vampire, constantly resisting the urge to taste her blood. As their undeniable connection grows deeper, Stefan's dangerous older brother, Damon, shows up to wreak havoc on the town of Mystic Falls - and claim Elena for himself.

I absolutely love this show and will be discussing each episode after it airs.  However, I will be starting from Episode 14 of the 3rd season titled 'Dangerous Liaisons' as that was the last episode aired.

Fairly Legal Description.

This blog post will explain what this new series is about, discussing the characters and some main aspects of the series as a whole and my opinion on both of these.

Fairly Legal is a new American television series on the USA Network.  It first aired on January 20th, 2011.  This series is created and written by Michael Sardo.  It comes under the category of Legal Drama.
It stars:
  • Sarah Shahi as Kate
  • Michael Trucco as Justin
  • Baron Vaughn as Leornardo
  • Virginia Williams as Lauren
The series is based on the main character Kate, a former lawyer turned mediator and is set in San Francisco.  Kate works at her father's law firm, and as her father has just recently passed away, she, her stepmother Lauren, her brother and the rest of the firm have had to adjust to the loss.

For any female watching this there are two main 'eye candy', these being Justin who is portrayed by Michael Trucco (who formerly played Cooper in One Tree Hill), Kate's ex-husband and Kate's neighbour at the dock, who has yet to be introduced properly.

My favourite character at the moment has got to be Leonardo.  Leonardo is Kate's assistant.  His friendly mocking nature towards Kate and the way in which she manages to get herself out of situations amuses me.  So far their chemistry (friendship) in the first two episodes is proving great to watch.

What I love about this series is the connection to The Wizard of Oz.  Whenever Kate's phone rings, if it is for example her Stepmother Lauren, the wicked witch theme from The Wizard of Oz begins to play, and other themes from the film are also connected to the other main characters.

One last thing that I will comment on in this blog post, is the main character Kate.  The portrayal of Kate from Sarah Shahi is great.  She is portrayed as this organised mediator but behind the scenes appears to be a bit of a disorganised wreck.  She goes with her gut instinct on different matters and when she has to discard something to follow this instinct, like when she has to get back to the office for something, she is seen by her assistant through the window, outside the building, nearly making it but clearly just having found something more important to go to, with the shout of "Taxiiii!", and this seems to be a recurring theme from Kate.

Kismet Spills All: Television...

I have four blogs, my main blog is Kismet Spills All.
This blog is one of the three sub-blogs (Television; Books; Movies) of my main Kismet Spills All blog.

I thought I would set this one up to voice my opinion on different television series', or anything in relation to television.  Also, if anyone else wants to follow and join in on the discussion of that particular series then feel free, I would love to hear other peoples' opinions.
